Why did I choose the Arnold to call home? I didn't, it chose me and I'm so happy it
did! My husband and I hail from the Bay Area and we've always shared a love for the
mountains. His family had a cabin in Dorrington for over twenty years. He was very
saddened when they had to sell the cabin, but he always knew in his heart he'd be back.
We bought our first cabin in 2000 and sold it in 2001. We then built spec homes with our
profit and were able to accumulate enough cash to purchase the cabin his grandparents
built in 1976. Slowly but surely, we fixed up the dated cabin. Eventually, my husbands
company granted him permission to telecommute from home which meant we could live
in the mountains full time! We packed up nearly 4 years ago and we couldn't be happier
with our decision to do so. We have two young boys. The schools and community are
fantastic and tight-knit. Everyone looks out for everyone else, which is seldom found.
Especially in populated areas like the Bay Area. I became a Realtor Associate this year
after working as the Dorrington Realty Office Manager for over one year. I've worked
for various banking institutions and as technical support for the sales division of a major
home builder. Come to the mountains so I can show you everything I know and love
about this fabulous area!
